About this product

A handcrafted brass lagaan handi with a hammered exterior, sturdy side handles and a snug-fit lid. It is made for slow cooking rich curries, biryani, dals and sabzis, and for serving them at the table.

The inside is lined with kalai (tin) to keep it food-safe. Choose 1.75 L or 3.5 L. It doubles as serveware and as vintage decor.

Care

Hand wash with mild soap and a soft sponge; avoid abrasive scrubbers on the inside.
Cook on low to medium heat to protect the tin (kalai) lining.
Dry immediately after washing and store in a dry place.
Polish the outside occasionally with Pitambari. The kalai lining can be re-done by a traditional craftsman when it wears.

Handmade pieces: small variations in size, weight and finish are natural.
